On my expenditure to the abandoned Alps Ski Resort located in South Korea, I came across two shopping malls (there was actually a 3rd I didn’t get to see).
At first, it didn’t seem like I would be able to get in. All the front doors were locked, and I didn’t plan on destroying any glass (#1 rule of urbex -leave things the way you found it!). After circling the building, I found a staircase leading up to the second floor with an open door.
Walking in revealed a large open floor with a restaurant bar.
I then left this room and went across to the one adjacent to it.
This side of the building was extremely moldy and musty. It would be a good idea to bring a mask next time.
I also found a bar in this room with many glasses still left behind. I was tempted to take one home.
I go down the stairs to the first floor.
Everything was extremely wet and humid. I was concerned my foot might fall through the floor somewhere.
Next I went to the bathrooms.
I then headed out to Alps Ski Resort, but after leaving this building, I discovered another shopping mall. This one was a bit larger than the previous, and significantly easier to breathe in.
To be continued…
